| Personal History | Emily was born and raised on Ectu (The local name for Earth Colony II). With two older brothers (three if her twin reminds her he was born first), she grew up tough as nails, having to put up with their 'big brother crap', yet had three built-in bodyguards who defended her like rabid wolves. In secondary school, she went to a recruiting drive and thought the idea of serving in Starfleet was appealing. She'd already been considering medical, but wanted something more hands-on with patients than just surgery. Looking through the options, she realized nursing would appeal to her strengths and she found she enjoyed the material. She applied to Starfleet, went to Earth and graduated from the Academy in the top ten percent of her class. She liked Earth and stayed there one extra year, working on a project at Starfleet Medical before shipping out on her first assignment. |
