| Personal History | Canadian by birth, Alice was raised just like anyone else, being active throughout school in sports and theater, finally taking a leap from amateur to professional acting after graduating from high school two years early at the age of 16. Taking the alter ego name of Astoria Rogers, Alice took the precaution of adding several features that would prevent herself from being outright recognized on the street. She was a near prodigy once she finally found herself in the spotlight and over her seven-year career had several iconic leading roles that made her an every-day name, leading a three-part fantasy role and even as a 'Bond Girl' when she was twenty-one. Awards came in, holo-magazine covers and fame was her watchword. Then it all came crashing down when scandal hit her on the set of what would be her final movie. While the accusations were patently false, she was unable to prove it to the satisfaction of the public and after several months of trying to rehabilitate her career, Astoria Rogers announced her retirement and Alice Durant joined Starfleet. Originally entering the Academy to become a nurse, Alice was recruited into Starfleet Intelligence by the senior instructor during her second year and rapidly but quietly rose to the top of her section. Her ability to become someone else with little notice was of value for gathering information and dead drops. Upon her graduation at the age of 25, she wasn't assigned to any particular assignment, instead spending a few months on this ship, or that starbase, or even another embassy, using her ability to change personae to her benefit. Along with that came an intellect that was able to take data and analyze it rapidly, especially when Alice wasn't trying to be someone else. She was on an assignment to run down a smuggling ring when her leads led her to board the USS Scharnhorst under the guise of a junior NCO Engineer when the leads ran dry. Then she finally officially transferred to USS Scharnhorst to run their department |
