Location: USS Scharnhorst, Gym
Zoey was already in the gym, she was working on a good sweat, lifting dumbbells and working her glutes, looking in the mirror to make sure her form was right. She happed to noticed two mellons staring at her through the mirror.
They were a perfect sized cleavage from an Aenar woman. Zoey did not mean to stare, but they were just right there. At first she felt bad, but then she remembered Aenar are mostly if not completely blind. She shook her head and focused on the dumbbells.
Thoande, on the other hand, wasn't too bothered. Even if she couldn't physically see when someone was checking her out, she could definitely perceive their surface level thoughts. And right about then Zoey's thoughts were very, very loud indeed.
"It's alright, I don't mind." She said, turning to look at the human with a smile that was somewhere between amused and playful. She carried one weight in either hand as she did lunges in sets. Her antennae twisted slowly as she took in the attractive woman.
"The name's Thoande. How about you?" She asked as she came up to a standing position and set the weights aside. Sweat slicked her upper body and stained part of her sports bra, causing it to stick to her as she reached for a bottle of water.
"Zoey." She simply said that she put down the dumbbells. Then grabbed her water bottle and took a quick swig. "I'm one of the new scientists that just came aboard." She started to say what the warm smile on her face. A little perspiration was building around the edges of her hairline. She had just started to build up a sweat, when she got distracted by Thoande.
"Zoey. It's nice to meet you." Thoande smiled a disarmingly sweet smile as she put down her water bottle and dried her hands before offering one to be shaken.
"Come here often?" She asked with a playful tilt to her head. "I could use a workout buddy. Better if it becomes something else afterward."
Zoey smile not sure if she actually could see it, and just simply shook her head no but in a playful way. "No it's my first day honestly, but I'm glad I did. What about you, you come here a lot?" She took another swig from her water bottle, again admiring the beauty of Thoande.
"I do." A smirk spread its way across Thoande's lips as she once again sensed those surface thoughts. "At least thrice a week. I like to blow off steam from my day, you know? Especially when I've spent hours at a desk filing paperwork."
She didn't wait for Zoey to comment. She stepped forward, narrowing the gap between them and crossing her arms under her chest, pushing up her breasts. "I'm chief of strategic ops. Trust me, the job's more paperwork than people at times."
"I am not sure of that, I am liking the person I am talking to right now." Zoey said with a warm smile on her face, trying not to stare at her breasts. She wondered if Thoande was doing this on purpose.
"Really! I'm glad to hear it." Thoande grinned mischievously. "So. What's your day job, cute thing? Which type of scientist are you? Or am I going to have to guess till I get it right?" God, this was fun. Watching people stammer and blush their way through their conversation while checking her out and pretending not to never got old.
"Stellar Cartography, mainly but most of time will probably be in science lab one under Lieutenant Mist." Zoey said, thinking to herself there is another fine ass lady. She had not met her yet, but her imagine was smoking hot.
"Ah. I see." Thoande replied with a warm smile as she walked over to the treadmill with a gentle sway in her hips. "I'm guessing you'll be needing more exciting things to stare at other than stars, then - not that those aren't lovely."
"Considering you've had your eyes on me this entire conversation, I think you've found exactly what you need." She purred, glancing back at the woman with a mischievous glint in her sightless eyes. "You humans are so very transparent with your feelings, you know. I think it's adorable."
"Feelings? Little too early for that don't you think? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't admiring The view. But that's a far cry from feelings." Zoey said that she shook her head in disbelief. You give a girl a good look and all of a sudden she thinks that you're pulling head over heels for her. When in reality you're admiring her beauty and having a little fun flirting.
"Thoughts." Thoande corrected herself with a smile. "Surface level thoughts that everyone has even if they're not aware of it. No shame in having them; when you're an Aenar many things turn up in my senses whether I want them to or not."
"You're welcome to keep admiring, by the way." She added as she hopped up the treadmill and set it to walking pace. "Talk if you want to. I'll be here a while longer."
"I might do that, since you don't mind it after all." Zoey fed with the playful grin as she also jumped on to the treadmill, now she was being a little flirtatious and a little competitive.
"So, what do you do for fun? Aside from exercise and flirt with hot women?" Thoande teased. Unlike Zoey, she wasn't all that interested in competing with the other woman. Her purpose in coming to the gym, always, was to relax, let off steam and enjoy the process. She was content to dial up her treadmill just a little above walking pace for now, allowing her to converse easily.
"I'm still trying to figure that out. I'm young, I just completed the academy and this is my first assignment so I'll let you know as soon as I know." Zoey said honestly with a warm smile on her face.
"Come on, you must have done something to pass the time as a cadet." Thoande replied with a smile that was equally as playful. "Read, swim, cook, bar-hop, whatever. I personally took up cooking because it helped me forget my troubles for a bit."
"You look like you can take out any trouble that gets in your way." Zoey said playfully. She appreciated the moment of sincerity and the chance to open up to her. But for the moment, she was looking for fun. Nothing was more fun than playful banter.
"Oh, I can." Thoande grinned. "I definitely can. But it's nice, you know? To know that for a little bit that I can afford to just be me. Plain old Thoande. Who likes to work out, make new friends and flirt with cute girls. And guys, too."
"But alright, keep your secrets. I guess I'll discover them eventually.' The Aenar added with a smirk as she turned up her treadmill to jogging pace. "Then we'll have more things to talk about."
"Do you really want to talk, I am not able to read minds, but your body language is giving you away." Zoey said with a teasing smirk. She was not really looking for anything serious, just a little fun. And she had a sneaky suspicion that Thoande was looking for that too.
Zoey was met with a dazzling smile and playful tilt of the head in response. "Of course I do. Those two things can exist at the same time, you know." Thoande teased, antennae twisting in a way that suggested quiet amusement. "I can have my fun, and get to know you as a person, because that's what any relationship is built on isn't it?"
"Besides. It's not like you're disagreeing, exactly." She quipped. "Again, sorry. Surface thoughts. I can't just shut them out, it's like asking you to stop seeing with two eyes open."
"Why would I want to do that?" Zoey said with a playful smirk in her tone. She was liking this little cat and mouse game they were playing.
"Of course you don't." Thoande smiled. "So. Given the chance, what would you do with them?"
"That's pretty direct. The honest answer is I don't know. I didn't come on the ship looking for a serious relationship. I'm still trying to discover who I am." Zoey pointed out in a moment of honesty and sincerity and not her typical flirtatious behavior. In truth, she really didn't know.
"That's alright. Sometimes these things take time." Thoande's expression softened into something more tender at once. "We don't need to do anything serious if you don't want to. We've got a few more years stuck together after all."
"Not that I mind. Having a cute gym buddy who so happens to find me cute too is nice." She added, tone regaining a little of the flirt she'd had before.
"I can definitely offer you that." Zoey said with a warm smile. She put down her water and picked up the dumb bells again.
"Then it's settled." Thoande grinned as she turned up her treadmill to jogging pace. "You get to look and chat me up all you want, and I get to chat you up and look all I want. And tease you about your loud surface thoughts if I feel like it. How does that sound, cutie."
"After we're done here can I get your Spacetagram account?" Zoey asked with a warm smile. She started to lift weights again, if he could really call it dumbbell away. Kayla is more looking to tone her body and like her counterpart over here it was definitely trying to chisel out her body.
"Of course you can." The Aenar replied. "I don't post pictures of myself on there often, but I can definitely guarantee that you'll still get something to see. Can I have yours in return, then?"
"Of course and you should post more often. How else am I supposed to comment on that fine body of yours!" Zoey said with a silly smirk on her face. The scene starts to fade before it does they both exchange their Spacetagram account information and follow each other.
