Mission: Episode 2: Mine of Taurus
Location: USS Scharnhorst, Solwick Quarters

Kalina walked into the room, noticing that Zaire but just sitting on the sofa. She had been pulling a late night shift trying to gather information about ships near the Taurus II System. She saw her lovely husband just sitting there, without saying anything she walked over to him and just straddled him on the couch, looking into his eyes. "Mister Solwick, what naughty thoughts you have, I approve." She realized how cheesy that sounded but she didn't care at this moment, she gave him a kiss.

Zaire had known the moment his eyes met hers that she wanted some male attention. When she straddled him and leaned in for the kiss, his arms wrapped around her and he kissed her back, holding her close. "Who is the naughty one now." His voice full of emotion.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Mr Solwick." She said that she continues straddling him. Then she pulls into him for a deep hug. He wasn't stressed or anything, she just wanted to be close to him. To feel him breathing on her, to feel their closeness until allow their minds to mingle. She embraced him, and she just cuddled into his arms and onto his chest.

"This is nice." Zaire murmured as he held her close. It had been a good work day but there were always some things that concerned him. He knew he couldn't make everyone happy but he didn't like unhappy people within his crew. "Best part of my day."

"I know I'm not the only one in the crew that's a little nervous about being in this system. Starfleet quarantined it for a reason." Kalina said as she continued talking while holding him close to her chest in his own. She wasn't scared but she definitely wanted to be comfort.

"I can feel the tension." Zaire acknowledged. "My crew has talked about it some, I try to answer their concerns but I get where they are coming from." He kissed the top of her head. "I just believe that we will be okay. Something as special as what we have between us, gives me hope we are meant for bigger things. No matter what happens, we are together and that is what is important to me." He hoped that helped, he didn't really know what else to say but to be honest. She preferred that above all else.

"You know maybe she'll let the crew see this sensitive side to you. You have poor little Elira thinking that you're some type of dictator that can't trust people. I would never tell you how to run your department, but I've been hearing rumors. I just wish they could see this side of you." Kalina said to him, she was trying to be cautious not to hurt his feelings.

Zaire blinked. They had an agreement to never interfere in each other's positions. "What has Ensign Vyn said to you?" He pulled back, not wanting this conversation mixed with their personal time.

"It wasn't her that I heard it from, it was from another officer who appears to be infatuated with her. Apparently they're both not happy that they're not on the same shift, and I guess she has blind to him because I overheard him talking about it with others. But hey, you just giving a heads up. Do you really want to talk about this all night, or would you rather kiss these lip" Kalina ask him, looking into his eyes. She could tell he was slightly annoyed, the fact that they're both telepath and she could sense his feelings as much as he could sense hers, she knew there's no way he could deny it.

"I am all for kissing your lips." Zaire said as he pulled her close and once more kissed her deeply. He knew she was concerned and wanted him to look at this from all angles and he would. The truth was, everyone had to do their time on the night shift. No one wanted to work it so the newest crew members were elected. As crew were trained and gained experience, they would leave and then Ensign Vyn would be offered a different shift. He sympathized with her and this beau she seemed interested in but part of being Starfleet was knowing that relationships, at times, took a lot of work and juggling to see one another.

Kalina did not want to push too hard, has she turned around and kissed him. They locked up with such intensity and passion, that they forgot about the taurus II system. For this brief moment, nothing else mattered in this world but the two of them being together. She practically started ripping his clothes off, not being able to control herself in the moment. Things started to get hot and steamy between them, as she growl lightly in his ear. "Take me." She seductively demanded.

Short time later...

They were curled up on the couch, barely having a throw blanket cover the two of them. Both of them are hot and sweaty but neither want to get up. She interlocked her fingers with his. "I think we both needed that, relieve some of the tension." She said that she planted her head squarely against his sweaty chest.

"I agree." Zaire said quietly. He didnt want to move, to break this moment or the feelings between them that were still in the air. "I feel so much better, you have a way of making the day fade away."

"I can make other things disappear." She said playfully, and she hugged him close again, and she slowly nibbled on his ear. She was trying to start a problems again.

A seductive grin crossed Zaire's face. "Oh I like it when you talk that way." He loved how free she was with him, unafraid to let him see all of her, just as he was with her.

She didn't say anything and she started to continue nibbling on his ear, and getting a little friskier with him. Right now she is trying to forget about her stresses and her worries, and just be caught up in this moment. Fantasy, was better than the reality. Her emotions were conflicted, and they were surface level but she was trying to push them down because she was also in the mood and the vibe was just right.

As much as Zaire was enjoying this side of Kalina he knew that something else was going on here. "Babe." He said quietly. "Is there something you need to talk about? It feels like you have something going on, you know you can talk to me about anything."

"Just worried, I don't like being this close to the Taurus II system. There's a reason the system is quarantined." Kalina pointed out to him. "I just wish I knew why we were out here, and why starfleet sent a couple ships out here already. It just seemed like we're poking the bear."

"There is a reason." Zaire said, agreeing with her. "But you know how Starfleet is. They don't share a lot but expect us to get the job done." He pulled her back into his arms, just holding her. "We have an excellent crew and the best captain in the fleet. That should count for something."

"Do we have the best captain? I spent some time with tlhim on the bridge. I haven't scanned his mind, but I've been able to pick up on his surface level emotions. That man has a lot of guilt and remorse, and he puts himself under way too much pressure." Kalina pointed out to him. She was really concerned about the captain's sanity.

"He took a step back and let someone else run the mission." Zaire said quietly. "To me that says a lot about his character, he isnt letting hia ego get in the way." He thought for a moment. "Do you think this guilt and remorse will keep him from doing hia job?"

"I'm not sure. I just concerned." Kalina said, she was not a therapist or a counselor. "Lieutenant Winters will have to determine that."

"Are you thinking of talking to him?" Zaire asked her. "Or Commander Rogers?"

"Yeah no, that'd be career suicide. Aren't you adorable." Kalina said, shaking her head vigorously no. She had no intention of destroying her career.

"When you mentioned the counselor I was a little concerned." Zaire admitted. "You know, no matter what happens, we are together and we will face this like we always do, as a united front." He felt like he was not helping much but to be honest he could not give her any guarantees.

"Someone's trying to get lucky again." Kalina said, and she started kissing him, as a scene starts to fade away. She felt better about their current situation. Not because the threat level had gone down, but mainly due to the fact she could talk about it and be close to the person she was falling in love with.

Zaire pushed all the thoughts of the world around him away and melted into their moment, knowing every one was precious to them.
