So it's happening

Mission: Episode 1: Shadows of Diplomacy
Location: Earth Space Dock, Temporary Family Quarters

Adrian had just opened the doors to their new temporary quarters on the space station. Earth Space Dock as she was commonly referred to was a marvel of beauty and elegance. And in docking port 16 was the USS Scharnhorst. His new home away from home. "Don't get to comfortable here Paislee, we board the Scharnhorst." Adrian hugged Eliana as he watched Paislee get super excited about this room.

Paislee looked around. “It’s kind of small!” She said as she entered. “I can’t wait to see my real room!”

"Well then prepare to be even more disappointed. This room is Big compared to our quarters on the scharnhorst. Oh but you'll be happy to hear that our kitchen is decent size both in the mess hall and in our personal quarters."

Paislee’s eyes widened. “Smaller!” She shook her head. “Can’t you just knock some walls down, Daddy!”

Eliana smiled. “It will be just fine. Remember when we were on a ship before and you loved it.”

"And whose room would you like me to get rid of to make room for you to have more space?" Adrian asked Paislee. He wanted her to understand that even though her comment was made in jest, choices have consequences. And to make things a little more convenient for her did not necessarily mean that others would appreciate that. Because in order to make room for more space for her somebody else would have to sacrifice space or lose face all together.

Paislee thought for a long moment and sighed. “No one.” She had been being funny. Ever since that man came her dad was so serious, she didn’t like it.

“I can help you arrange your stuffies.” Eliana said with a smile. “You really will have a lot of room for what you brought.”

"Well, I would suggest keeping your stuffies packed up just one out for the night. We're only staying here one night no reason to reorganize cuz you'll have to do the same thing tomorrow if you organize it tonight I prefer to go to the promenade myself." Adrian suggested trying to convince his daughter and his wife not to unload all their stuff.

“On the ship, daddy!” Paislee said with a grin.

“Not here. I only have my Petunia unpacked.” She wasn’t letting her be stuffed in a bag.

“I meant on the ship.” Eliana smiled. She could sense Adrian was a bit tense. “Maybe we can find something fun to do tonight.”

"Now that's a good idea maybe we should do orbital skydiving." Adrian said in a teasing voice knowing darn well Eliana would not like that.

“Uh no.” Eliana shook her head.

“What’s that?” Paislee said curious. “I wanna know!”

"I was teasing honey, you're way too young. The closest you'll ever come to it is maybe in the holiday and that's with full safeties on." Adrian suggested to Paislee. He purposely did not answer her question, cuz he is kind of hoping that she'd pick up on the hand and just dropped the topic.

“Can we find a pinball machine?” Paislee asked. “That would be fun!”

"You have been playing on the holodeck a little to much. You know most places do not have a pinball machine." Adrian said, as he shook his head towards Paislee.

“Grandpa has a pinball machine.” Paislee reminded him. “It’s fun! He says it’s better than playing on a computer all day long!”

"Well I can talk to Mr Solwick, see if we can get a pinball machine on the ship somewhere and tied into the power grid somehow. Maybe we'll have a whole arcade room." Adrian suggested, but then he'd realize where would he put it the only room that made sis was the recreation room but then that would get loud and noisy you need to give it some more thought. So he went on to tell his daughter. "It's going to take some time to figure out where the best place to put it. An arcade room will be very noisy."

“I do get excited!” Paislee grinned. “But it’s fun and everybody needs to have fun you even said so!”

"Fun with consideration and moderation are definitely something that you need to learn little one. Sometimes you're fun is a little time-consuming ." Adrian suggested, thinking about all the times that she had so-called fun they end up costing him time to fix. The time she let the pigs go, the time she let the horse run free in the fields and they had to take a shuttlecraft to trace the horse and then being down in front of the horse and try to catch up to it and countless other times.

Paislee thought for a moment. “Sometimes it ends up being a lot of fun through.” She paused. “Except not for others.” She sighed.

“Now we’re back on a ship.” Eliana spoke up. “You need to be a little more cautious about that fun and what could happen.”

"How do you plan on keeping the Captain in line, Mrs Kellan?" Adrian said with a big grin on his face, as he pulled his wife close to his side.

“Oh.” Eliana said with a smile. “I see I’m going to have to deal with both of my trouble makers.”

Adrain just smiled, hearing his wife refer to him as a trouble maker, was cute and sexy. "If you only knew." He said playfully.
